A big trend in tile right now is the use of linear tile. Linear tile gives a really nice effect especially when used for kitchen backsplashes and bathrooms, but the effect can be used virtually anywhere. The different varieties and finishes that are available allows you to create a unique, contemporary look for your home. In addition to their contemporary look, these tiles can be effectively used to visually elongate a space vertically or horizontally depending on what you would like to achieve.

When talking tile, the first thing that probably comes to mind is bathrooms and kitchens. The decorative elements of tile, however, make it great for other rooms in your home such as the bedroom! Well placed, beautiful tiles can create a unique atmosphere and play an important role in the overall design of your room.

    Some ideas:

    1) Create a one-of-a-kind tile headboard using backsplash tile. Just measure the appropriate size rectangular or square space behind the bed, and get tiling! Use the colored grout of your choice.

If you’re looking for something more advanced, try this DIY project for a custom headboard with columns.

    2) Tile your bedroom floor with large tiles in a neutral color. Add rugs to create the sense of warmth and add personality! As with every tile project, options are virtually limitless for the type of feel you want to create.

    3) Use small decorative tiles as accents on windowsills and end tables. Create lovely, colorful accents for your bedroom using these small tiles. Create a mosaic tile table or tile your windowsills for something unexpected and fun.

    4) Tile an accent wall. Make one of your bedroom accent walls into a work of art with a tile design. This is a great way to add a splash of color and make a statement with your bedroom decor.

so many options to choose from!
